OREANDA-NEWS. Those who have undergone the already known variants of the coronavirus that are spreading in Russia can no longer become infected with the British strain of infection. This was reported to TASS by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. She also noted that vaccinated citizens will not be able to get infected either.

According to Anna Popova, citizens who have recovered from the strain, which is mainly observed in the territory of the Russian Federation, should not get sick when they encounter the British strain, because experts observe a neutralization reaction in this case. People vaccinated with one and the second Russian vaccines should not get sick, because the antibodies in their blood neutralize both the usual strain, the reference one, and the British one. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, the same thing happens with all other strains.

Popova explained that the specialists of the Vector Center use the serum of people who have had antibodies who have been ill and vaccinated with Russian vaccines. To some they add strains circulating on the territory of the Russian Federation, and to others - British, and in this way they study whether the antibodies present in human serum neutralize viruses.
