Fraudsters send virus letters on behalf of famous airlines, car dealers and the media.
In June 2019, more than 1.1 thousand such letters with a virus were discovered. Most often, virus letters come from such large companies as KIA, Rolf, Polar Airlines, and RBC and Novosibirsk-Online among the media.
Opening the letter on the device, the virus encrypts the user's files and requires a ransom from him to restore access to the information. According to the latest data, the virus “learned” to mine cryptocurrency and generate traffic to websites to increase traffic and income from online advertising.
