OREANDA-NEWS  Russia and the United Arab Emirates plan to develop cooperation in the field of healthcare, including in the prevention and treatment of cancer, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Russia reported on the Telegram channel.

"Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation Mohammad Ahmad Al-Jaber. The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the prevention and treatment of oncological diseases, the development of medical tourism," the message reads.

Murashko noted that Russia is developing many promising areas in oncology, including the creation and use of radiopharmaceuticals. The development of medical science in the field of oncology also creates opportunities for cooperation in joint scientific research, the minister stressed. During the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop bilateral ties on the most pressing issues in the field of healthcare, the press service said.
