Putin instructed to create a biostation for the study of the Far Eastern seas

OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the governments of the Russian Federation and the Sakhalin Region to create a marine biostation at Cape Anastasia to study the flora and fauna of the Far Eastern seas, according to the Kremlin's website.
"To the Government of the Russian Federation together with the Government of the Sakhalin regio to ensure the development and implementation of a set of measures for the creation and development of a marine biostation at Cape Anastasia (Krillon Peninsula, Sakhalin Island), providing for the involvement in the implementation of its scientific and educational program for the study of the flora and fauna of the Far Eastern seas of educational institutions of higher education and scientific organizations of the Far Eastern Federal District, the scientific and educational center of the Sakhalinsk campus and foreign scientists," the list of instructions says.
The deadline for execution of the order is July 31, 2024, then annually. Those responsible are Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Sakhalin Governor Valery Limarenko, Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy.
