Physicists from Russia Have Taken Another Step Towards the Creation of Light Computers
OREANDA-NEWS Russian physicists have figured out how light-sensitive molecules are arranged, which can be used as the basis for the optical memory of computers of the future.
This will help speed up the work of memory and find the perfect material for its creation, scientists write in the Journal of Materials Chemistry C.
Physicists have discovered relationships between the features of the structure of these molecules and the electrical characteristics of memory based on them. This allows you to directionally develop the new generation of materials needed to create organic memory cells and photodetectors.
Now scientists are trying to solve another big problem - they are developing systems that allow you to store digital information in optical form. This will speed up the work of computers and allow them to read and write data as quickly as they perform the calculations.
