OREANDA-NEWS Smart intercoms for quick access to bomb shelters will be installed in apartment buildings in Taganrog. Svetlana Kambulova, the mayor of the city, told about this in her Telegram channel, adding that at the moment 387 city basements can serve as shelters.

The new devices will be equipped with a face recognition system, thanks to which it will be possible to enter the building without keys, the mayor of Taganrog explained. Thanks to the integration into the 112 system, the same devices will inform the townspeople about the UAV attack. If there is no threat, there will be no information, even if the air defense systems are working.

Citizens can find a list of shelters on the official website of the administration, the mayor of Taganrog reminded earlier. There is also an interactive map of their location, she added.

On the night of December 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack Taganrog with missiles. As a result, an industrial plant was damaged, in the parking lot of which 14 cars burned down. The boiler house on Tsiolkovsky Street was also hit. People were not injured.
