OREANDA-NEWS  Apple has started work on a smart doorbell with Face ID. This is reported by Bloomberg.

Sources of the agency's columnist Mark Gurman told us what secret project Apple is currently working on. It turned out to be a smart home product, a doorbell connected to the HomeKit system. The device will receive a built-in biometric Face ID sensor, already used in the iPhone, and will be able to recognize faces.

The company also intends to release a hub for a smart home and a camera. According to the insider, the company believes in success, as they believe that they will be able to protect users' personal data and their homes. In addition, the new home devices will allow Apple to sell more subscriptions to the iCloud cloud service, where consumers can store an archive of video recordings.

Mark Gurman found out that the project is at an early stage, and Apple will definitely not introduce gadgets until at least the end of 2025. The corporation may also freeze new household products if it considers that they may cause reputational damage. Gurman recalled that Apple, among other things, abandoned the Apple Car project because it was afraid of mentioning itself in the news related to road accidents.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Apple planned to sell its smartphones by subscription, but abandoned this idea. We have been working on the service for two years.
