OREANDA-NEWS Moscow and Hanoi are ready to put into practice a project to build a nuclear Science and Technology Center in Vietnam, Boris Arseev, Director of International Business at Rosatom State Corporation, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"It is gratifying that cooperation is developing, and we are close to putting into practice the construction project in Vietnam of a modern Center for nuclear Science and Technology. In the summer of 2024, an interdepartmental memorandum was signed, which contains a clear schedule of measures for the development of the project for the period up to 2027," Arseev said.

The top manager of the state corporation also recalled that Russian nuclear scientists assisted in the development, modernization and operation of the research reactor in the Vietnamese Dalat. This reactor is used, among other things, for the production of isotopes for medical purposes.
