Source: OREANDA-NEWS
OREANDA-NEWS The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov was outraged by the low rates of vaccination against coronavirus and urged to increase them at least several times. This information is reported by the newspaper "Ukrainian Truth".
According to Stepanov, to date, only 19 thousand Ukrainians have received the drug for the coronavirus, and the daily number of injections injected does not exceed three thousand. These results are not satisfactory to the Minister of Health.
Maxim Stepanov notes that, according to the government's plans, by now this figure should have reached 10 thousand injections, and in the future it would only grow. Due to the failure of the campaign, the minister intends to convene an urgent meeting with representatives of the presidential office, heads of departments of the Ministry of Health and heads of regional administrations.
One of the problems hindering the growth of the rate of vaccination, Stepanov calls the reluctance of doctors to give themselves vaccinations due to the already transferred coronavirus.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Ukraine began on February 24. A day earlier, the republic received the first batch of Covishield, which is manufactured in India under a license from AstraZeneca. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky promised to vaccinate all Ukrainians from the coronavirus by the end of the year.
