OREANDA-NEWS The Indian company Adani Group plans to increase the production of solar panels by 150 percent by 2026. This should reduce the country's dependence on China and help achieve carbon neutrality, Bloomberg reports.

The conglomerate is going to produce enough equipment to produce 10 gigawatts of solar energy annually instead of the current four gigawatts. The company's plans include the construction of one of the largest renewable energy parks — its size will be five times the size of Paris. In the next ten years, the Adani Group will invest $100 billion in renewable energy sources (RES).

Earlier it became known that solar energy turned out to be the fastest growing green industry.
