OREANDA-NEWS The Hi-82MK2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with instrument take-off function will be shown at the Army-2024 International Military Technical Forum, which will be held from August 12 to 14, 2024 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center. This is reported by TASS with reference to the design bureau (KB) "Oko".

The Hi-82MK2 is a modification of the Hi-82 kamikaze drone. "Now the drone can take off without the camera turned on according to the displayed instrument readings," the KB said.

They added that the modified UAV was developed at the request of Russian military personnel. Currently, Hi-82MK2 is used in the zone of special military operation (SVO). The drone is distinguished by a collapsible wing, which allows it to be transported in a container. The range of the drone is up to 30 kilometers, the speed is up to 140 kilometers per hour, the load is up to 5.5 kilograms.

In December, the Design Bureau informed the agency that the Hi-82 kamikaze drone would be able to be controlled from cover.

In November, they also said that Russian troops had begun using Hi-82 kamikaze drones in several directions in the area of their defense.
