Four New Mathematical Centers will Open in the Russian Federation
OREANDA-NEWS. In the framework of the national project "Science" by 2024 in Russia it is planned to create 16 world-class scientific centers, including mathematical ones.
Four organizations were selected at the Council in the Ministry of Education and Science on the basis of which mathematical centers will be created to bring Russian science to a qualitatively new international level.
The winners were four projects: Mathematical Institute. Steklov Institute of Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), Leonard Euler St. Petersburg International Mathematical Institute, Moscow Center for Fundamental and Applied Mathematics, and the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok (Novosibirsk).
320 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the project this year. The centers will be engaged in mathematical research.
