Famous Russian Doctor Named Five Conditions for Preventing Stroke
OREANDA-NEWS. The well-known Russian doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel named the main causes of a stroke, and also listed five main conditions that will help to avoid it.
There are two types of strokes - ischemic and hemorrhagic. The first occurs as a result of oxygen starvation (ischemia) and is detected in 80% of cases. The main reasons are plaque blockage and embolism, the doctor recalled.
The doctor explained: "Atrial fibrillation can lead to the formation of a blood clot. It fires, goes to the brain and causes a blockage in the vessel."
The constant intake of pills of the so-called ambulance can cause systemic hypotension, which is also considered a risk factor for the development of this disease, the doctor warned.
Hemorrhagic stroke occurs in 20% of cases and occurs due to a ruptured vessel. It is more dangerous than ischemic and can be caused by taking blood-thinning drugs and ruptured aneurysm.
According to Myasnikov, "all strokes begin long before an attack," and in order to avoid it, five conditions must be met. In particular, you should maintain normal blood pressure, cholesterol, sugar levels, body weight, and quit smoking.
Earlier, Alexander Myasnikov spoke about the mortal danger of sausages. He explained that sodium nitrite in the food increases the risk of cancer, while consuming large amounts of processed meat products is detrimental to men's health.
