According to experts, products that contain melatonin help in the fight against insomnia. This hormone regulates blood pressure and body temperature, and also sends a signal to the brain to prepare for sleep.
Melatonin is found in peanut butter, corn, oatmeal, and cherry juice. Also, those who have difficulty falling asleep are recommended to add more walnuts, tomatoes, broccoli, bananas and strawberries to the diet. The hormone is also available in green tea, olives, fresh mint, pomegranates, asparagus and Brussels sprouts.
At the same time, experts warn that excessive consumption of food with a high content of melatonin can lead to excessive drowsiness.
