“We can assume that this is due to the anatomical and physiological proximity of the urinary tract and intestines. As we already know, COVID-19 often causes disorders in the gastrointestinal tract: coronavirus can persist in the intestines for a long time, which is clinically manifested by abdominal pain and stool disorders. Also, the development of such complications is also possible against the background of weakened immunity due to a viral attack on the body, "explained Tokarev.

The spread of the omicron coronavirus strain has been recorded in all 85 regions of Russia, the operational headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus told reporters.
