Coffee is Alarming for Russians, Experts Say
OREANDA-NEWS Employees of the Genotek Medical Genetic Center investigated the genomes of 4,000 people and found that 13 percent of people have changes in the ADORA2A gene.
People with this gene are recommended to consume less than 200 mg of caffeine per day. This is equivalent to two cups of coffee.
In the normal state, after drinking coffee, a person will experience vigor and a burst of energy, his heartbeat will increase, pressure will increase. But in people with a change in the ADORA2A gene, caffeine strongly blocks the work of the adenosine receptor. This can double the level of anxiety of a person and his exposure to stress.
