Kaiser Permanente Opens New Medical Offices in Signal Hill
“We’re leveraging technology to make health care more convenient. Thanks to telephone and video appointments, patients can easily connect with their doctors from the comfort of their smartphones or tablets,” said Barbara Carnes, MD, area medical director. “We’re excited to offer more care delivery options than ever before, bringing health care to our members when and where they need it.”
Patients will also enjoy the added convenience of express check-in, which allows them to confirm their appointment, pay their co-pay and update their personal information online prior to coming into the medical office. Once they’ve arrived, patients will find redesigned nurse stations and exam rooms that emphasize patient comfort.
“Through innovation and technology, we’re not only providing our members with the very best quality care — we’re also making it more comfortable and convenient for them to stay healthy,” said Wadie Marcos, DO, physician in charge of the Kaiser Permanente Signal Hill Medical Offices. “From the abundance of natural light to the exam room chairs, we’ve intentionally designed a space that our members will enjoy visiting.”
The 20,000-square-foot Signal Hill Medical Offices will join several other Kaiser Permanente facilities serving the greater Long Beach community. The nearby Long Beach Medical Offices, located at 3900 East Pacific Coast Highway, are also undergoing renovations and will begin offering behavioral health services in August. Kaiser Permanente provides care to more than 75,000 residents of Signal Hill and Long Beach.
Services offered: Adult primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, behavioral health, nurse clinic, x-ray, pharmacy, laboratory, telephone and video appointments.
