OREANDA-NEWS. The delegation from Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany, headed by Honorary Professor, former member of Bundestag, representing Institute for Mining & Energy Law, Ruhr University of Bochum, Dr. Otto Wulf, visited the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) in frames of the visit to Baku. Touching upon the relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, BHOS rector Elmar Gasimov talked about cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and education. Elmar Gasimov said BHOS was established according to the European education system’s requirements and had successful cooperation with the world’s leading companies and universities, including E.ON Company and RWTH Aachen University, Germany, particularly in the field of renewable energy. He expressed interest in commencement cooperation with Ruhr University of Bochum in terms of exchange of students, lecturers, cooperation in the field of research and education.

Talking about Ruhr University of Bochum, Dr. Otto Wulf said that it was one of the pioneering institutions in Germany, which introduced Bachelor and Master programmes. BHOS and Ruhr University’s representatives discussed perspectives of potential cooperation between the higher educational institutions. The meeting also included broad discussions on energy policy, renewable energy, legal and economic issues.
