4.5 Billion Years Old Diamond Deposits Found Under the Earth’s Surface

OREANDA-NEWS Deep in the bowels of Earth diamond deposits that is older than 4.5 billion years was discovored.
Researchers at Australian National University have discovered signs of an ancient reservoir of magma located in the bowels of our planet, the approximate age of which scientists compared with the age of Moon.
The source says that the researchers analyzed the isotopic composition of helium, which was contained in 23 samples of ultra-deep diamonds ejected onto the Earth's surface by strong volcanic eruptions.
Most diamonds are formed at a depth of 150-230 kilometers below the Earth's crust, and then transported by magma flows. In rare cases, diamonds formed at a depth of 230-800 kilometers are carried to the surface.
As it turned out, the composition of isotopes inside diamonds was characteristic of gases that existed even before the collision of Moon and Earth. It is known that after its formation, our planet was hit by other cosmic bodies, which completely changed its structure and composition.
