Transmashholding Sales of Products Rose by 55 Per Cent in the First Quarter of 2007
OREANDA-NEWS. CJSC Transmashholding sales of products and services rose by 55 per cent QOQ in January-March to total US$515.4 million.
According to the press service of Transmashholding, the sales growth was shown by all the key kinds of the company activity. For instance, the sales of all types of electric locomotives grew by 188 per cent (49/17 sections in January-March 2007/2006), the sales of electric train cars rose by 97 per cent (128/65), those of freight cars by 15 per cent (392/340), main line diesel locomotives by 267 per cent (3/11), various purpose diesels by 37 per cent (130/95).
The passenger rolling stock repairs rose significantly, by 40 per cent. This service costs totalled US$5.6 million in the first quarter of 2007, whereas it totalled US$7.8 million in the first three months of 2007.
The JSC Russian Railways has purchased a considerable part of the Transmashholding products. The two companies have signed a number of long-term agreements implementing the shipment of various kinds of rolling stock until the year of 2010.
