OREANDA-NEWS. CJSC Transmashholding sent the two cars designated 81,717.5M and 81,714.5М (head and intermediate) manufactured by the JSC Metrovagonmash (Mitishi, Moscow Region, a holding-integrated company) to the Novosibirsk metro on April 19.

According to the press service of Transmashholding, the contact implementing production and delivery of the two rail cars was concluded on March 27, 2007.

The series rail cars are designed for multiple-unit system use and are operational with a train of up to eight cars.

The Novosibirsk metro exploitation fleet comprises 80 cars, 43 per cent of them produced by Metrovagonmash.

The Transmashholding and Novosibirsk metro have been cooperating on a regular basis. The previous delivery was conducted in the year of 2006, the set also included two rail cars.
