OREANDA-NEWS. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) summed up the results of industrial activity in March and three months of 2007.

According to the information and public relations department of OJSC “ММК”, in March of this year OJSC “ММК” produced 147,2 thousand tons of ready ore, 834,4 thousand tons of agglomerate, 430,3 thousand tons of coke, 773,7 thousand tons of pig-iron. The melt of steel at ММК made 1 million 63,4 thousand tons in March 2007. Manufacture of rolled products at the enterprise for the last month made 1 million 42 thousand tons, output of the commodity metal products - 1 million 7,9 thousand tons.

In total, for the first quarter of this year OJSC “ММК” produced 441,1 thousand tons of ready ore (121,3 % against analogous period of the last year), 2 million 509,1 thousand tons of agglomerate (91,5 %), 2 million 297,9 thousand tons of pig-iron (94 %), 3 million 145,1 thousand tons of steel (108,9 %), 3 million 52,9 thousand tons of rolled products (107,8 %).

Output of commodity metal products in January-March 2007 totalled 2 million 930,1 thousand tons (111,7 % against parameters of 2006). On the majority of basic parameters OJSC “MМК” is in the lead among metallurgical enterprises of the country and the CIS.

The share of export in the structure of shipment of commodity metal products of the enterprise continues to decrease. In March of this year export shipment made 36,1 % of realized production. On results of the first quarter of this year, the share of export has made 39,6 %. In January-March of the last year, the export component in the structure of sales of the enterprise totalled 51,3 %.
