MMK after Ilyich Increased Volume of Commodity Output by 47,5% in January-February 2007
OREANDA-NEWS. In January-February 2007, Mariupol Metal Works (ММК) after Ilyich (Donetsk region) increased volume of commodity output by 47,5% - up to UAH 2,570 billion in comparison with analogous period of 2006.
According to the Interfax-Ukraine, Chairman of the Board of the company Vladimir Boiko noted that ММК after Ilyich increased production of agglomerate by 1,1%, or by 19,8 thousand tons, pig-iron - by 16,2%, or by 128,4 thousand tons, steel - by 14%, or by 142,3 thousand tons, hot rolled products - by 11,2%, or by 94,2 thousand tons, commodity rolled products - by 11,7%, or by 103,6 thousand the tons, finished rolled products - by 10,5%, or by 87 thousand tons and pipes - by 9,2%, or by 1,3 thousand tons for two months.
Boiko also noted that if for the first two months of the last year budgets of all levels were paid UAH 69,5 million, for the same period of this year – UAH 95,6 million were paid. Payments in the Pension fund have increased also. UAH 38 million were invested in development of social structure. Besides, the average wages increased at the metal works: in February 2006 it was equal to UAH 1394, but on results of the first two months of 2007 – UAH 1900.
On results of 2006, ММК after Ilyich reduced production of ready rolled products by 2,8% - up to 5,388 million tons in comparison with 2005, whereas manufacture of steel increased by 0,5% - up to 6,984 million tons, pig-iron - by 3,7% up to 5,433 million tons. Production of agglomerate decreased by 16,1% to 11,265 million tons. Besides, the enterprise has increased manufacture of steel pipes by 8,3% - up to 108,7 thousand tons.
In 2007, ММК after Ilyich is going to increase melt of steel by 1,8% - up to 7,093 million tons.
