OREANDA-NEWS. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (OJSC “MMK”) summed up industrial activity.

According to the information and public relations department of OJSC “MMK”, in February of this year OJSC “MMK” produced 138,7 thousand tons of ready ore, 787,1 thousand tons of agglomerate, 401,3 thousand tons of coke, 708,2 thousand tons of pig-iron. The melt of steel at OJSC “MMK” in February 2007 has made 959,8 thousand tons. Manufacture of rolled products at the enterprise for the last month has made 924,4 thousand tons, output of commodity metal products - 876,3 thousand tons.

In total for the first two months of this year OJSC “MMK” produced 293,9 thousand tons of ready ore (121,9 % against analogous period of the last year), 1 million 674,7 thousand tons of agglomerate (95,5 %), 2 million 81,7 thousand tons of steel (111,1 %), 2 million 10,8 thousand tons of rolled products (109,9 %).

Output of commodity metal products in January-February 2007 made 1 million 922,2 thousand tons (112,7 % against parameters of 2006). On the majority of basic parameters OJSC “MMK” is in the lead among the metallurgical enterprises of the country and the CIS.

It is necessary to note steady reduction of a share of export in the structure of shipment of commodity metal products of the enterprise. In February of this year export delivery made only 36,2 % of realized production. And for the first two months of this year the share of export made 41,4 %. In January-February of the last year, the export component in the structure of sales of OJSC “MMK” equaled 52,1 %.
