OREANDA-NEWS. The preliminary data says the CJSC Transmashholding, the Russian largest railway equipment manufacturer, had a 39.7 per cent increase in sales of products.

According to the press service of “Transmashholding”, the total value of the 2006 sales of products was over 55 billion rubles.

The main line electric locomotives’ sales grew by 91.4 per cent (from 105 to 201 sections), diesel shunters’ – 67 per cent (from 91 to 152 sections), electric train cars’ – 44.2 per cent (from 396 to 571 items), metro cars’ – 32% (from 169 to 223 items).

There was an increase evaluated in some other fields. The number of sold hopper cars grew by 15.9 per cent (1,902 compared with 1,641 in 2005). The amount of repairs of passenger coaches and electric train cars grew by 47.4 per cent in money terms.
