OREANDA-NEWS. The Board of Directors at Svyazinvest held a meeting in absentia on January 30, 2007 to review the issue of calling an extraordinary shareholders meeting of the Company at the request of its shareholder, Comstar-United TetleSystem.

The meeting will be held in order to consider the issue of terminating ahead of schedule the powers of Svyazinvest’s board members and electing a new board of directors of the Company.
