“Uralelectromed” Produced over 354 Thousand Tons of Copper Cathodes in 2006
OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006, OJSC “Uralelectromed” (enterprise of UMMC metallurgical complex) has made 354 thousand 258 tons of copper cathodes (100,4 % in comparison with 2005).
According to the press-service of UMMC, the chief engineer of “Uralelectromed” Victor Ashikhin has noted that this parameter is a record for the enterprise.
In 2006, delivery of raw material increased by 4% against the rate of 2005. At the same time, the enterprise keeps high parameters of quality of production: output of copper cathodes of top quality М00k in the last year made 99,4 %.
The basic volume of cathode copper produced at “Uralelectromed” UMMC forwards to further repartitions that provide for growth of production of high degree of preparedness, in particular, of copper rod and wire. So, JSC “SP “Katur-Invest” (enterprise of UMMC metal complex) has produced 277 thousand 611 tons of copper rod (103,5 %) in 2006, 10 thousand 278 tons of copper wiring (126,3 %), 2 thousand 98 tons of copper wire (growth in 2 times).
In 2006, OJSC “Uralelectromed” also has reached significant growth of volumes of manufacture of gold in ingots (130 % in comparison with 2005). Victor Ashikhin has noted that in many respects it became possible due to reconstruction of technological line on manufacture of gold.
