Kazakhstan Reduced Steel Production by 6,8% in 2006
OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006, 4,170 million tons of crude steel, or 6,8% less than in 2005, were made in Kazakhstan.
According to news.kkb.kz, manufacture of flat rolled products in 2006 has made 3,006 million tons (-3,2% in comparison with 2005), including output of white tin and tinned sheet rolled products - 166 thousand tons (-25,5%), zinced rolled products - 586,860 thousand tons (-3,2%). Also, Kazakhstan made 1,615 million tons of ferroalloys (5,5%).
