OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006 Olenegorsk GOK has increased volumes of manufacture of iron ore concentrate by more than 11% in comparison with 2005.

According to the press-service of OJSC “Olenegorsk GOK” volumes of mining works also have increased. The General Director of OJSC “Olenegorsk GOK” Vasily Chernykh has noted that "year 2006 was a special year for Olenegorsk GOK as this year the enterprise has reached the highest volumes of manufacture, first of all - mining works".

In 2006, the enterprise made approximately 190 thousand tons of concentrate from the ore extracted in underground way. In 2007, it is planned to make approximately 490 thousand tons of concentrate from ore of Olenegorsk underground mine, which operation has begun in 2005.
