OREANDA-NEWS. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) has summed up industrial activity in December and year 2006.

According to the information and public relations department of OJSC “MMK”, in December 2006 ММК made 135,2 thousand tons of ready ore, 837,2 thousand tons of agglomerate, 441,4 thousand tons of coke, 777,9 thousand tons of pig-iron. The melt of steel for the last month has made 1 million 93,5 thousand tons, manufacture of rolled products - 1 million 50,7 thousand tons.

Output of commodity metal products in December 2006 made 1 million 41,9 thousand tons.

The production plan of the month is executed on all parameters. The share of export in the structure of shipment has made 49,3 %. Foreign consumers were shipped 513,6 thousand tons of metal products.

In 2006, production made - 1 million 468,2 thousand tons of ready ore (96,1% against parameter of 2005), 10 million 749,8 thousand tons of agglomerate (103,9%), 5 million 496 thousand tons of coke (98,6%), 9 million 732,6 thousand tons of pig-iron (100,8%), 12 million 455,2 thousand tons of steel (109,4%), 12 million 59,7 thousand tons of rolled products (109,4%).

Manufacture of commodity metal products in 2006 has made 11 million 346,1 thousand tons that makes 111,2% against 2005. Export shipment made 5 million 274,8 thousand tons of metal products in the last year that makes 46,5% from the general shipment of metal rolling of the enterprise. The export share in shipment of metal products by OJSC “MMK” for 2005 made 49,9%.

On results of industrial activity in 2006, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works kept leading positions among Russian metal works. Share of ММК in the all-Russian melt of steel for the last month has made 17,4%, and on results of 2006 - 17,6%. Output of commodity metal products on ММК has made 20,4% from the all-Russian manufacture in December, as a whole on the year this parameter has made 19,5%.
