OREANDA-NEWS. According to the operative data, in 2006, Makeyevskiy Metal Works (MMW, Donetsk region) has increased production of commodity rolled products in 1,46 times - from 889 thousand tons up to 1,3 million tons in comparison with 2005.

The Ministry of Industrial Policy noted that the production of steel increased at the enterprise for this period in 1,52 times – from 1,29 million tons up to 1,566 million tons, and pig-iron in 1,57 times – from 825 thousand tons up to 1,295 million tons.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, in December MMW has made 80,25 thousand tons of finished steel, 131,8 thousand tons of commodity rolled products, 148 thousand tons of steel and 136 thousand tons of pig-iron.
