OREANDA-NEWS. According to the operative data, in 2006, the Ukrainian Pipe Enterprises have increased manufacture of pipes from ferrous metals by 14,1 % - up to 2 million 617,3 thousand tons in comparison with 2005.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, in December, 204,4 thousand tons of pipes were produced.

The association on manufacture of pipes “Ukrtrubprom” (Dnepropetrovsk) have noted that the enterprises of the branch have been working stably this year, making production depending on market condition.

According to the president of the Ukrainian association of metal traders (UAM) Andrey Fedoseyev, the home market of Ukraine is provided mainly with pipes of domestic production. At the same time, the part of pipe production is imported. At the same time, the Head of UAM has specified growth of volumes of pipes imported to Ukraine owing to more comprehensible price parameters and qualitative characteristics. Besides, import of pipes, which are not made in Ukraine, is increasing.

The basic part of pipe production is being realized in Ukraine through metal trading companies - the share of traders in the whole volume of realization in the market of pipes makes approximately 80 %. At the same time, he assumed that this share in the next year in the home market will not change essentially, as the pipe enterprises of the country are guided, basically, on export of production.

In 2005, the Ukrainian pipe enterprises have increased manufacture of pipes by 12,6 % - up to 2,293 million tons in comparison with 2004.
