OREANDA-NEWS. On January 10, 2006 the Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant, the largest Russian manufacturer of high-quality zinc and alloys on its basis, has declared financial results for nine months ended on September 30, 2006 in conformance with the international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

Proceeds of Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant for nine months of 2006 have made $390 million 738 thousand, having increased by 260 % from $108 million 568 thousand for nine months of 2005.

The total profit for nine months of 2006 has made $149 million 662 thousand, having increased by 589 % from $21 million 715 thousand for nine months of 2005.

Total profitability increased from 20 % for nine months of 2005 up to 38 % for nine months of 2006.

Parameter EBITDA increased by more than 1000 % - from $10 million 290 thousand for nine months of 2005 up to $130 million 890 thousand for nine months of 2006.

The profit before taxation for nine months 2006 has made $105 million 279 thousand whereas for nine months of 2005 the loss was $1 million 744 thousand.

The net profit for nine months of 2006 has made $80 million 767 thousand, whereas the loss for nine months 2005 was fixed at $1 million 446 thousand.
