OREANDA-NEWS. According to the decision of the UMMC management, Aleksey Shreider, who had earlier held a post of director on manufacture of the metal works, came to duties of director of OJSC “Metal Works after A.K. Serov” from January 1, 2007.

According to the press-service of UMMC, the decision on appointment of new director at the enterprise was adopted by the management of UMMC in connection with the fact that Alexander Polyansky – now former head of the metal works will concentrate the efforts on development of the sector of ferrous metallurgy of the holding.

Alexander Polyansky has been working at the post of the general director of “UMMC-Steel LLC” (operates assets of ferrous metallurgy of UMMC) since December 2005. The realization of projects on construction of metallurgical mini-factories and development of a network of enterprises on processing of scrap metal has been launched under his management.

The reconstruction will be continued at the base enterprise of ferrous metallurgy of UMMC - Metal Works after A.K. Serov. One of the primary goals for the new head will be development of electric steel-smelting complex and increase in volumes of manufacture.
