OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary information, in 2006, metallurgical enterprise “Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog” (former “Krivorozhstal”, Dnepropetrovsk region) has increased manufacture of finished steel by 12,2 % - up to 6,858 million tons, steel - by 8,9 % up to 7,575 million tons, pig-iron - by 10,4 % up to 6,801 million tons, agglomerate - by 13,1% up to 11,331 million tons in comparison with 2005.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, in December the enterprise has made 610 thousand tons of finished steel, 673 thousand tons of steel, 617 thousand tons of pig-iron and 1,021 million tons of agglomerate.

The coke-and-chemical division of “Mittal Steel Krivoy Rog” has increased manufacture of coke by 1,3 % - up to 2,696 million tons in 2006 (in December - 243 thousand tons). The mining division has increased manufacture of iron ore concentrate by 10,5 % - up to 7,769 million tons (in December - 695 thousand tons), extraction of iron ore - by 12,9 % up to 1,884 million tons (140 thousand tons).

In 2005, the enterprise has made 10 million tons of agglomerate, 6,2 million tons of pig-iron, 7 million tons of steel and 6,1 million tons of rolled products.
