OREANDA-NEWS. In 2006, OJSC “Svyatogor” (enterprise of metallurgical complex of UMMC) has increased investments into realization of corporate housing program of UMMC "Affordable Accommodation" in 1,5 times - up to 3,7 million roubles in comparison with the last year.

According to the press-service of UMMC, the program is being implemented at “Svyatogor” under the following scheme: accommodation is got as the property of the enterprise and then is given to workers under contracts of long-term rent with the right of subsequent buy-out. According to the regulations about the order and conditions of participation of workers in the housing program, apartments are given to young experts and representatives of scarce trades.

Owing to the program “Affordable Accommodation” the well-arranged apartments were given to eight workers of “Svyatogor” in 2005. In the last year “Svyatogor” employees got 11 apartments: two two-room, eight three-room and one four-room.

In this year “Svyatogor” will continue realization of this corporate project - it is planned to get 8 well-arranged apartments in the "secondary" accommodation market. Besides, plans of 2007 include construction of a 40-room apartment house.

In 2006, approximately 600 million roubles were directed on performance of UMMC program “Affordable Accommodation”. For the time being, the program “Affordable Accommodation” is being implemented at 23 enterprises of the holding. It provides for some schemes of maintenance of UMMC employees with accommodation: construction of dwelling, its purchase in the secondary market and transfer to employment with the right of subsequent repayment, mortgage crediting with participation of the enterprise, rendering of single help in the form of interest-free loan or in the form of gratuitous grants.
