World Primary Aluminium Production Increased up to 21,8 Million Tons in January-November 2006
OREANDA-NEWS. The International Aluminium Institute has published the information that total world production of primary aluminium in November 2006 has made 1 million 979 thousand tons, and daily output has made 66 thousand tons.
In particular, Africa produced 153 thousand tons of primary aluminium in November, North America - 440 thousand tons, Latin America - 206 thousand tons, Asia - 297 thousand tons, Western Europe - 345 thousand tons, East and the Central Europe - 347 thousand tons, and Oceania - 191 thousand tons.
In January-November 2006 primary aluminium production in Africa totalled 1 million 703 thousand tons, in Northern America - 4 million 875 thousand tons, in Latin America - 2 million 281 thousand tons, in Asia - 3 million 185 thousand tons, in the Western Europe - 3 million 819 thousand tons, in East and the Central Europe - 3 million 869 thousand tons, and in Oceania - 2 million 77 thousand tons.
Total world production in January-November 2006 has reached 21 million 809 thousand tons of primary aluminium, and daily output - 65,3 thousand tons.
For comparison, in January-November 2005 the world production has made 21 million 432 thousand tons of primary aluminium, and daily output - 64,2 thousand tons.
