OREANDA-NEWS. The audit of the quality management system on conformity to the international standard ISO 9001:2000 was completed at the Novokuznetsk Metal Works, being a part of Evraz Group”.

According to the NKMK press-service, within four days experts of the international body TUV-CERT have been examining work of the quality management system in the divisions providing production of railway rails, rail joints and profiled iron. Independent experts have confirmed that the quality management system at the enterprise is operating according to the established standard.

Auditors also have noted a number of innovations, which allow raising efficiency of action of the quality management system. Thus experts have recognized that work on improvement of the quality management system completely corresponds to all necessary requirements of ISO 9001:2000.

On results of the audit representatives of TUV-CERT recommended to prolong action of the quality management system certificate for one year.

In 2007, validity of the three-year certificate of the quality management system given out by the company TUV-CERT runs out and OJSC “NKMK” will have to pass re-certification.
