OREANDA-NEWS. Evraz Group S.A. (LSE: EVR) announces that Valery Khoroshkovsky has tendered his resignation as the dйlйguй а la gestion journaliиre, or Chief Executive Officer of the Company, with immediate effect, because of his appointment as the First Deputy Secretary of the Security and Defence Council of the Republic of Ukraine.

The Board of Directors has recommended today that the extraordinary meeting of shareholders to be held on 18 January 2007 approve the resignation of Valery Khoroshkovsky and appointment of Alexander Frolov as the administrateur dйlйguй, or Chief Executive Officer of the Company, with effect from 19 January 2007.
Alexander Frolov will keep his position as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
