OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary data, in January-November 2006, metallurgical enterprise “Mittal Steel Krivoi Rog” (KGMK, former “Krivorozhstal”, Dnepropetrovsk region) has increased manufacture of finished rolled products by 12,6%- up to 6,249 million tons, steel - by 9,1%, up to 6,902 million tons, pig-iron - by 10,2%, up to 6,183 million tons, agglomerate - by 13%, up to 10,310 million tons in comparison with analogous period of 2005.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, in November the enterprise made 551 thousand tons of finished rolled producta, 645 thousand tons of steel, 582 thousand tons of pig-iron and 928 thousand tons of agglomerate.

The coke-and-chemical division of KGMK for 11 months has increased manufacture of coke by 0,8% - up to 2,453 million tons (in November - 233 thousand tons). The mining division has increased manufacture of iron ore concentrate by 9,8% - up to 7,053 million tons (in November - 678 thousand tons), extraction of iron ore - by 14,4%, up to 1,743 million tons (139 thousand tons).

Business-plan of the enterprise for 2006 provides for increase in sales of metal rolling by 1 million tons - up to 7,2 million tons in comparison with 2005.

OJSC “Mittal Steel Krivoi Rog” is the largest manufacturer of metal products in Ukraine which share in the market reaches 20%. Capacities of the enterprise having a full production cycle are calculated on annual production at the rate of over 6 million tons of rolled products, approximately 7 million tons of steel and more than 7,8 million tons of pig-iron.

In 2005, the enterprise has made 10 million tons of agglomerate, 6,2 million tons of pig-iron, 7 million tons of steel and 6,1 million tons of rolled products that approximately corresponds to parameters of 2004.
