OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary data, in January-October of this year the mining enterprises of Ukraine have increased export of iron ore raw material by 4,4 % - up to 16,694 million tons in comparison with analogous period of the last year.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, the representative of association of mining enterprises of Ukraine “Ukrrudprom” (Dnepropetrovsk region) has noted that 1,691 million tons of iron ore raw material were exported in October, including 352 thousand tons of concentrate, 599 thousand tons of sintering ore and 740 thousand tons of pellets.

According to him, for 10 months mining-concentrating enterprises (GOK) have increased export of concentrate by 23,4 % - up to 3,360 million tons in comparison with analogous period of the last year, sintering ore – by 14 %, up to 6,071 million tons, having reduced export of pellets by 8,6 % - up to 7,263 million tons.

The representative of “Ukrrudprom” also has noted that the basic supplier of pellets to the foreign markets is Poltava GOK exporting more than 90 % of its production.
