OREANDA-NEWS. The International Aluminium Institute has puplished the information that total world production of primary aluminum in October 2006 has made 2 million 39 thousand tons, and daily output made 65,8 thousand tons.

In particular, Africa produced 158 thousand tons of primary aluminum in October, Northern America - 451 thousand tons, Latin America - 212 thousand tons, Asia - 305 thousand tons, Western Europe - 357 thousand tons, East and the Central Europe - 360 thousand tons, and Oceania - 196 thousand tons.

In January-October 2006, Africa produced 1 million 550 thousand tons of primary aluminum, Northern America - 4 million 435 thousand tons, Latin America - 2 million 75 thousand tons, Asia - 2 million 888 thousand tons, Western Europe - 3 million 474 thousand tons, East and the Central Europe - 3 million 522 thousand tons, and Oceania - 1 million 886 thousand tons.

Total world production in January-October 2006 has reached 19 million 830 thousand tons of primary aluminum, and daily output made 64 thousand tons.
