OREANDA-NEWS. In January-October 2006, the Russian Federation has increased extraction of iron ore by 7,7 % - up to 84,7 million tons in comparison with analogous period of the last year.

According to the Federal service of state statistics, extraction of iron ore by the Russian Federation in October of this year has exceeded extraction in October 2005 by 7,4% and was 4,6 % more than production in September 2006.
