OREANDA-NEWS. The net unconsolidated profit of OJSC MMC “Norilsk Nickel” under the Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in January-September 2006 has made 40,682 billion roubles, or 3,2 % more than parameter of analogous period of the last year, which has totalled 39,428 billion roubles.

According to AK&M, the proceeds of the enterprise for the period under review have grown by 36,2 % - up to 167,828 billion roubles from 123,192 billion roubles.

The cost price of the sold goods, production and services has made 41,807 billion roubles against 43,638 billion roubles for 9 months of 2005. The total profit has increased in 1,6 times up to 126,021 billion roubles from 79,554 billion roubles, profit on sales was up to 68,358 billion roubles from 54,929 billion roubles.

Short-term obligations of the company as of September 30, 2006 have made 66,733 billion roubles against 95,821 billion roubles on the beginning of this year, long-term obligations - 18,498 billion roubles against 18,844 billion roubles.

MMC “Norilsk Nickel” is the world's largest manufacturer of nickel and metals of platinum group. In 2005, the company has made 243 thousand tons of nickel, 452 thousand tons of copper, 3,13 thousand ounces of palladium and 751 thousand ounces of platinum.
