According to the preliminary data, in January-October of this year, the Zaporozhye Metal Works “Zaporozhstal” has increased manufacture of finished steel by 2 % - up to 3,035 million tons, steel - by 2 %, up to 3,702 million tons, pig-iron - by 0,7 %, up to 2,975 million tons in comparison with analogous period of the last year, having reduced manufacture of agglomerate by 0,1 % to 4,675 million tons.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, in October the metal works made 293 thousand tons of finished steel, 374 thousand tons of steel, 304 thousand tons of pig-iron and 499 thousand tons of agglomerate.

In 2005, “Zaporozhstal” reduced manufacture of finished steel by 2,7 % to 3,603 million tons, steel - by 1,8 % to 4,379 million tons in comparison with 2004, having increased production of pig-iron by 5,5 % - up to 3,541 million tons, agglomerate - by 7,3 %, up to 5,659 million tons. The volume of realization of commodity output has made UAH 7,772 billion.
