OREANDA-NEWS. VSMPO – AVISMA Corporation reported net income on a Russian Accounting basis of 5.347 billion roubles for the first nine months of 2006, up 2.36 times from the year-ago period.

According to the press service of VSMPO-AVISMA, revenues from sales during the reporting period were 21 969 million roubles compared to 11 352 million roubles during the year-ago period.

Income before tax increased to 7 105 million roubles compared to 3 073 million roubles in the comparable period in 2005. Income taxes totalled 1 747 million roubles compared to 786 513 thousand roubles during the year-ago period.

The financial results for the first nine months reflect higher production volumes, including high-value added products, and market conditions. They are fully consistent with the target figures defined in the Company’s 2006 business plan and approved by the Board.
