OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary information, in January-October of this year the Ukrainian enterprises of mining-metallurgical complex have increased output of the basic kinds of metal products by 7 % in comparison with analogous period of the last year.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, the representative of the Ministry of Industrial Policy has noted that manufacture of finished steel, steel and pig-iron for ten months increased by 7 % - accordingly up to 28,466 million tons, 33,871 million tons and 27,174 million tons.

At the same time, manufacture of hardware reduced by 2 % to 358 thousand tons, coke - by 0,4 % to 15,723 million tons. Deliveries of scrap metal to the Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises have increased by 6 % to 5,541 million tons, output of pipes - by 13 % to 2,180 million tons.

Representative of the Ministry of Industrial Policy also has informed that the mining enterprises have increased manufacture of iron ore by 7 % - up to 60,436 million tons, iron ore concentrate - by 7 % up to 46,836 million tons for ten months. Volumes of manufacture of prepared iron ore raw material increased by 5 % - up to 56,615 million tons, including pellets - by 18 % up to 17,207 million tons, agglomerate - by 0,4 % up to 39,407 million tons.

Besides, representative of the Ministry of Industrial Policy has noted that Ukraine will increase volume of production of finished steel by 6% in comparison with 2005 at preservation of existing rates of growth of production volumes - up to 34,178 million tons, steel - by 5 % up to 40,667 million tons, pig-iron - by 6 % up to 32,626 million tons, pipes - by 14 % up to 2,618 million tons, iron ore - by 6 % up to 72,563 million tons, iron ore concentrate - by 6 % up to 56,234 million tons. Volumes of manufacture of prepared iron ore raw material will grow by 5 % - up to 67,975 million tons, including pellets - by 18 % up to 20,660 million tons, and production of agglomerate will be kept at the last year’s level – 47,315 million tons. The volume of deliveries of scrap metal to the metallurgical enterprises will increase by 5 % up to 6,653 million tons; manufacture of coke will be kept at the last year’s level of 18,878 million tons.

In 2005, Ukraine has increased manufacture of finished steel by 0,5 % - up to 32,183 million tons, having reduced manufacture of steel by 0,2 % to 38,636 million tons, pig-iron - by 1 % to 30,773 million tons, hardware - by 7 % to 440 thousand tons, coke – by 14% to 18,858 million tons, deliveries of scrap metal to the metallurgical enterprises were reduced by 8 % to 6,370 million tons, and output of pipes increased by 13 % - up to 2,293 million tons.

The mining enterprises in 2005 have increased manufacture of iron ore by 5 % up to 68,539 million tons, including iron ore concentrate - by 5 % up to 52,961 million tons. At the same time, the volume of manufacture of prepared iron ore raw material has increased by 3 % - up to 64,969 million tons, pellets - by 7 % up to 17,450 million tons, agglomerate - by 2 % up to 47,520 million tons.
