OREANDA-NEWS. In September 2006, import of iron ore by Ukraine reduced by 11,5 %, or by 26,71 thousand tons to 204,60 thousand tons in comparison with August.

According to "Ukrainian news", expenses for purchase of iron ore in September have decreased by 19,1 %, or by $2,02 million to $8,58 million.

Import of non-agglomerated ore decreased by 17,2 %, or by 21,91 thousand tons to 105,44 thousand tons.

Import of agglomerated ore decreased by 4,6 %, or by 4,80 thousand tons to 99,16 thousand tons.

In comparison with September 2005, import of iron ore in September 2006 reduced by 10 %, or by 22,82 thousand tons.

In January-September 2006, import of iron ore decreased by 23,1 %, or by 442,83 thousand tons in comparison with January-September 2005 and has made 1 million 471,64 thousand tons to the amount of $59,47 million.

In 2005, import of iron ore decreased by 8,4 %, or by 240,51 thousand tons in comparison with 2004 and has made 2 million 634,22 thousand tons to the amount of $141,18 million.
