OREANDA-NEWS. RUSAL, the world's third largest aluminium producer, is pleased to announce the appointment of two independent non-executive directors to its Board of Directors.

Philip Lader, former U. S. Ambassador to the UK, and Dr. Nigel Kenny, currently a Partner at Sabre Capital International Worldwide Inc, join RUSAL's Board of Directors with immediate effect.

The appointments of these high profile independent non-executive directors are part of RUSAL's ongoing programme of enhanced corporate governance, announced by RUSAL in January 2006.

The corporate governance improvements included disclosure of the company's ownership structure and key financial results.

RUSAL also plans to announce the introduction of a corporate governance code and the formation of corporate governance and audit committees.
