OREANDA-NEWS. The tanker for the shipping company Pietro Barbaro S.A. (Italy) was laid down at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, MNP Group.

According to the press service of MNP Group, the contract for construction of the 3rd tanker was concluded in June, 2006. The contract for construction of two tankers was concluded in August, 2005. Both tankers – “Elektra” and “Klimena” – were handed over to the customer in June, 2006.

The tanker is capable of carrying up to five types of cargoes in a voyage, including crude oil, oil products, diesel fuel and fuel oil. The twin-screw vessel with twelve cargo tanks and one slop-tank is fitted with double sides and a double bottom to prevent oil spillage.

Class: KM PSP LUI A3 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. DWT of the tanker is about 5000 mt, basic characteristics of the tanker: length – 140 m, width – 16.9 m, draught – 3.5 m, depth – 6 m, lifting capacity is 5,200 mt, speed – 10 knots, self-sustaining period is 12 days. The navigation area of the ship is inland waterways (sea-river), sea Nearctic regions according to the class.
